U.S. Paper Recovery Rate at 65.8% for 2017

The recovery rate for paper consumed in the U.S. has nearly doubled since 1990; reaching 65.8 percent in 2017. The goal of the American Forest & Paper Association is to exceed 70 percent paper recovery for recycling by 2020, as part of its sustainability initiative ‚Äď Better Practices, Better Planet 2020.
